Here's why it's important to have a recovery email address and mobile number in your account:
- If you forget your password, having your recovery method established will allow to recover your account using your recovery phone or email.
- CenturyLink Email includes your recovery email when sending a notification of changes made to your account.
- Get a recovery code or link sent to your alternate email address if you don't have your phone or a current number on file.
- Get a recovery code or link sent to your cell phone if you forget your password.
How to set up your recovery methods
Step 1: Select the Settings icon in the top right-hand corner of webmail
Step 2: Select the Recovery options tab
Step 3: Select the Update recovery options button
Step 4: Enter password and select “Update Recovery options”
Step 5: Enter your mobile phone number and select “Update phone”
